The Acueducto del Águila, (Eagle Aquaduct) near Maro, is about 4km north east of Nerja and we visited as part of a Safari tour that we'd booked on. The spectacular structure was built in the late 19th century to transport water to a nearby sugar refinery. It's still in use today for agricultural irrigation. Well worth seeing. 11th June 2006.
